New SC bench to take up Mir Shakil-ur-Rahman`s appeal on 8th

ISLAMABAD: A new bench of the Supreme Court will take up next week, the appeal of Jang-Geo Editor-in-Chief Mir Shakil-ur-Rahman against an order passed by the Lahore High Court (LHC) dismissing his post-arrest bail petition in a case relating to a property transaction that took place 34 years ago. A three-member bench of the apex court, headed by Justice Mushir Alam and comprising Justice Muneeb Akhtar and Justice Qazi Muhammad Amin Ahmed, will take up on October 08, the appeal of Mir Shakil-ur-Rahman. Earlier, the appeal was fixed before a three- member bench of the apex court headed by Justice Umar Ata Bandial and comprising Justice Muneeb Akhtar and Justice Sayyed Mazhar Ali Akbar Naqvi....
